Know how to protect your eyesight to avoid it getting damaged

Protecting eyesight involves several key practices:
1. Schedule routine eye exams to detect vision problems early and monitor eye health.
2. Use safety glasses or goggles when working with tools or participating in sports to prevent eye injuries.
3. Ensure adequate lighting when reading or working to reduce eye strain.
4. Take breaks every 20 minutes to look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds to reduce eye fatigue.
5. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, particularly those high in antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E, to support eye health.
6. Control conditions like diabetes and hypertension, which can affect vision.
7. Wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays to protect against cataracts and macular degeneration.
8. Smoking increases the risk of developing cataracts, macular degeneration, and optic nerve damage. Avoid it.
9. Drink plenty of water to maintain eye hydration and prevent dry eyes.
10. Practice Good Screen Habits
