Ms. Teleola Sofola-Akanbi is a dedicated and passionate healthcare professional based in Maryland, USA. Born and raised in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State, her educational journey began at the Adventist Seminary of West Africa, Ilisan Remo, and she later graduated from Remo Secondary School in 2000. Her pursuit of higher education led her to the United States, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Frederick Community College, Maryland, in 2013.
She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University, Maryland, and a Master of Science in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky.
Ms. Teleola is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (CRNP, PMHNP-BC) and has accumulated a wealth of experience working in various hospitals across Maryland. Currently serving in a role with the state government, she provides advanced care to individuals with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and addiction disorders. Her special interests include perinatal mental health and substance abuse medicine, and she is committed to treating patients across the lifespan.
