Meet our Personality of the Week Olaleye Joshua Olakunle, an accomplished professional, visionary problem solver, and a distinguished member of the Remo Secondary School 1991/1997 Class Set.
Born on October 22 and hailing from Ogun State, Joshua’s academic journey reflects both dedication and excellence. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ilorin, and later advanced his studies with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos.
Joshua currently serves as the State Supervisor in Ondo State for ATC Nigeria, a leading telecommunications infrastructure company. Beyond his primary role, he is also involved in green energy solution designs, bringing innovation and sustainability to the forefront of his work. His career choice was driven by a passion for relatability and practicality, describing it as a path rooted in problem-solving, a skill he has honed over the years.
When it comes to personal preferences, Joshua enjoys any well-prepared good food, appreciates the calming depth of the color blue, and finds joy in activities like football and chess.
His guiding principle comes from the powerful words of Nelson Mandela: "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." He also values people who are realists, resonating with their grounded and honest approach to life.
Joshua’s time at RSS holds a special place in his heart. While he did not hold a formal leadership position, he treasures the experience of passing through RSS as a formative and memorable period in his life. His favorite subjects were Physics and Mathematics, guided and inspired by his admired teachers, Mr Folorunso and Mr Shofoyeke. He fondly recalls friendships with classmates including Tosin Adesanya, Afolabi Awobona, Daniel Osinaike, and Omonigho Odudu among others.
